Using the container, break off approx. 18 inches of floss, wind around the index finger or thumb of one hand and hold the other end between finger and thumb of the other hand. Gently work the floss between the teeth moving back and forth down the gum line. Release the wound floss so you have a fresh piece when required. Slight bleeding is a possible sign of unhealthy gums which should improve with regular flossing – consult your dentist if bleeding is excessive or persistent.
